Is anyone interested in this? Probably not, but I also have some questions that I'm bored of answering and some that I think might be useful for y'all. It's me being proactive which is rare.

Personal

Who are you?

I'm Sam Vie (pronounced vee) or killthelights (and other variations thereof.)

Pronouns?

I use they/them and she/her. I prefer that those who don't know me well use they/them as I do like it a little better. However, I do not use specific gender labels. I just don't find them helpful in explaining my experience with gender.

Birthday?

We celebrate on December 10th.

If you are asking if I'm interested, I'm not. I'm aromantic which means I don't form romantic bonds. Like, at all. I don't talk about it often because I don't think I should have to. I am also (broadly) asexual. My asexuality is every-so-slightly more flexible, but it's not flexible enough to really be thought about.
Fun fact: my green and purple color scheme were actually chosen because of the aromantic and asexual flags respectively.

Questions about my family?

Well, this is as much as I'm willing to share:
I live with my mom still because we're both single, get along well, and living alone in this economy? Not happening. My older brother is married. He introduced me to gaming. While he no longer plays games, he's why I started gaming and why I have an interest in computers and tech.
My dad and grandmother passed away in 2023. That was a very hard year, and I wrote a statement about 2023 on my Ko-fi, and I don't think I have it in me to expand on that any more.
I also have a pretty large extended family due to how blended we are, and in my family, friends are considered family too! I'm very lucky for a lot of the amazing people in my life.

You've said that you're chronically ill. What does that mean?

The short answer? A lot of things in my body don't work correctly or at all, and without my medications, I wouldn't be able to get out of bed and probably wouldn't live very long.
I still get quite a lot of pain that bothers me, but I am much luckier than a lot of other people with my list of conditions. As long as I have access to adequate medical care, it is not debilitating. I just have Days™.
The long answer? Is just too long of a list of confidential medical information.

Are you a full-time/aspiring full-time content creator?

Absolutely not. I really need more consistency than it provides, but content creation is a nice hobby that I enjoy a lot since it lets me stretch my creativity and talk about the things I love.

What do you want to do then?

I'm really passionate about education and literacy, specifically. I graduated with a BA in English, and one day, I want to create an accessible supplementary course focusing on literacy skills such as reading, writing, and critical thinking. In America, there's a major lack of funding for these programs in schools.
I currently work with children and do not talk much about my job because my kids are entitled to privacy and confidentiality. I really love my job though.

...make art of you or inspired by your work?

Of course! Just tag me in it because I'd like to see it. Though please keep it SFW (though blood and gore is cool!)

...make AI content of you?

Absolutely not. Any AI media created using my likeness (including but not limited to my face, body, or voice), art, or based on any of my original media will be pursued to the fullest extent of the law.
I.E. Gen AI is a big no.

Technical

What art/photo editing programs do you use?

I mostly use Clip Studio Paint for most digital art though I occasionally still lapse back to Krita and GIMP for photo editing and corrections. Occasionally, I use both depending on what I'm doing.
I use a screenless tablet for my art because I found myself drawing enough with my mouse that it was causing me a lot of pain, and I have a secondhand tablet and pen that I use for on-the-go or when I can't be bothered to start up my computer.

What about video editing?

I used to use Shotcut when I was starting out, but I now use the free edition of DaVinci Resolve.

Animation?

Combination of DaVinci and Krita depending on the animation though I have used the free edition of Live2D Cubism in the past for small things.

Computer?

Gaming

Will you play [insert game]?

I only play games that I really enjoy on my live streams. While I can't guarantee that I'll enjoy that game because I'm really finicky, you're welcome to suggest it! Just be aware that I will do this only where financially feasible and where it brings me joy.

Could you play [insert console game]?

I currently have a PlayStation 2, Xbox 360, and Nintendo Switch, and while I would love to play some console exclusives on stream, I do not have a capture card to stream them currently.

Do you play with viewers?

Currently, I don't have any way to organize such a thing. If this is something that has a lot of interest, I'm open to the idea. So, like, tell me if you're interested.
